It lies 13 km south of Nisyros and apprx. 400 meters above sea level. in the rim of Stefanis Crater.
Nikia is a lovely, picturesque, colouful small village which has a form of an ellipse and offers amazing views of the caldera from one side and of the sea of the other side.
White houses with bright coloured doors and windows forms a great contrast which each one of you needs to keep on a photo. The fabulous mosaic of the central square is also one of its main attractions. It is paved with thousands hochlakia (pebbles)
