Have you always dreamed of fishing like a native, with locals who are world-renowned for their hospitality and traditional fishing methods? Then you need to go fishing with us today! On your list of reasons to go to Kos should be the delicious food, rich history, and beautiful weather, right along with fishing, parallel to the coastline east of Kefalos.
Fishing in Kefalos is so much more than just filling the cooler. It’s a way of sharing the local fishing culture with a captain who has been fishing his whole life, who usually comes from a long line of fishermen. This is a total immersive experience, which includes great hospitality, swimming, BBQ, food, and fun. Even the members of your group who aren’t fishing enthusiasts will enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and visiting the magnificent landscape of the east coast of Kefalos.
From your hotel, you will be picked up, and you will be head down to Kamari Bay in Kefalos, to join Captain Yiannis, his crew and his fishing boat. A delicious snack will welcome you and then ready for .... fishing.
Bottom Fishing technique will be used mainly, with Captain Yiannis by your side. He will introduce you to the secrets of fishing and he will lead you to the richest fishing spots and to one of the most beautiful beach of the island.
Octopus is a familiar catch, char grilled on the BBQ with olives & ouzo, makes for a great "meze".
When lunch time arrives, Captain Yiannis will anchor in a marvellous bay, where you will have the chance to BBQ the catch you made. If you have no catch...no worries! There will be plenty of BBQ'd food for all, plenty of ouzo or wine and juice for the children, all included on the price given. Enjoy the scenery, have a swim, even dance with the crew, before you will be heading back to Kamari Bay and from there to your hotel .

When and where does the tour end?
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
When and where does the tour start?
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
What is the age range
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
